Dr. Raja’s approach to operationalizing trauma informed care in healthcare settings has been recognized as one of the foundational articles in the field. This framework is focused on practical strategies that healthcare providers can implement, given the highly demanding and busy realities of clinical practice. Her expertise on the topic has led to many national collaborations. Notably, Dr. Raja worked with Aquifer as a co-director on a national grant funded project that created eleven continuing medical education (CME) cases that are currently being used in hundreds of medical schools across the country to train healthcare providers on trauma informed practice. Some of these cases were used by the Surgeon General of California to help train tens of thousands of providers in the state on adverse childhood events:
